Mike works with economic development with clients to identify sites, buildings, and infrastructure, and connect them with local, state, and federal incentives as well as financing tools.
Dr. Mike McGrevey’s experience ranges from economic development to public and private sector service, academia, and the military.
At BSS Global, Mike provides counsel on site selection and infrastructure for economic development projects and connects clients with local, state, and federal incentives, financing tools, and investment opportunities.
Over the course of his lauded career, most recently with the Mississippi Development Authority, Mike oversaw more than $10 billion in private investment and 30,000 new jobs and created a site development grant program that laid the foundation for strengthening project recruitment competitiveness. At the Montgomery Institute, Mike created a regional network integrating public and private entities across 36 counties and eight community college districts that streamlined entrepreneurial and workforce development systems.
His fiduciary skills included oversight of Mississippi State University’s $675 million education institutional operating budget and $200 million research budget, and he led the management of more than 1,000 employees across 700 facilities. He also led an educational company team that improved student performance in more than 400 schools across 12 states.
Mike currently serves on the Mississippi Lottery Corporation Board of Directors, where he is founding chairman, and served on the State of Mississippi Veterans Affairs Board. He is a veteran who served with distinction and honor in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years.
Mike holds a Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Mississippi State University, where he was recognized as Phi Kappa Phi; a Master of Science in Management from Webster University; and a Bachelor of Science in Business (Banking and Finance) from the University of Southern Mississippi.
